Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is known for playing the lead in many television shows as well as for her impressive performances in films. Her work is well-known on both Canadian as well as American television. Emily started acting when she was 12 after visiting her older sister Katie in one of Katie's film productions. After realizing her passion in acting, she began taking acting classes, and then going for auditions. Her first audition was for commercials, but she was not cast until getting a part on the Canadian television show for children Are You Are You Scared of Darkness? It was just one scene, without any dialogue. The WB television show Glory Days, she received her first break in the industry at the age of 15. Emily's performance attracted the attention of Greg Berlanti, even though the show came to an end with just nine episode. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular on Everwood. Also a ballet dancer and a photographer Emily was featured by Teen in their list of most popular actresses under the age of 20. The Maxim's Hot 100 List of 2014 ranked Emily at 51.
