Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished public servant and businessman, is the vice president. Cheney a familiar face in the Washington political scene and has been under various U.S. presidents George W. Cheney, who accepted the Republican Vice Presidential nominating in 2007 stated that the he would be looking forward to working under a president who can work across political lines and work with political rivals by fostering goodwill and working towards a common purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce accompanied his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) where his father worked as the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
