Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 at Beaumont Puy in Domme. Her parents who was both dentists and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. The support they provided was enough to combat her desire to become an animal scientist. She rose to prominence as a child actor quickly and with huge popularity and success. Before she began to pursue an acting career Tautou took part in Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that focuses on talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of The award for the Best Young Actress for the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou is a pupil of her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris in her youth and was a student there from young age she has since renounced her Catholic education. The actress claims to be a non-Catholic. Modeling and acting are interspersed. Tautou was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as The Chanel Muse. Recently, at the Arles Arts Festival, she showed the collection of her photographs with the heading Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities and the fame. The exhibition also includes portraits of herself and special focus on journalists who have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic success following Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her debut role as a lead character in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was an international box-office success, and received accolades at award ceremonies around all over the world. It's the highest-grossing French film in America. The success of this movie has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, ranging from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
